An interesting review of "Restraint"

I say interesting in that the author makes no bones that she's kind of squicked by the extreme BDSM play I'm writing about in "Restraint" (knife-play and blood fetishes aren't everyone's thing, I know)--but it's still a good, positive review. (By the way, I too am confused by the cover. It's part of a series and they all have the same cover. It's a lovely image, but since my story's male/male, the hot bound chick on the cover is a bit deceptive.)
Thank you, Elisa Rolle!

Find the review here.

Buy "Restraint" here (or at your favorite e-book emporium, but if you get it through Phaze, I get more royalties.)

The Lions are Coming (quite a lot, actually)

Lions' Pride is now up on the Coming Soon page at Samhain, so I can show off my cover. Ain't it purty, and didn't they do a great job of finding hunks for my heroes?

Check it out. Read an excerpt, even. You know you want to. You can't order it yet, but tease yourself a little.

And check back here often, for there will be Fabulous Prizes [tm] to come. Not sure when or what, but there will be.

Anthology goodness

I'm itching to share my cover for Lions' Pride, but I can't yet. I have to wait until it's on the Samhain web site, which should be any day now.

Meanwhile, though, I have a few pretties to show you--anthologies I'm in!

Hope the sexy bare-assed cover doesn't offend anyone's boss's delicate sensibilities. But what do you expect from a book called Bottoms Up: Spanking Good Stories? My story in here is "Prime Time," which isn't about TV. It's based on the equation "smart+kinky=hot" and while I've never dated a math professor like my heroine does, I certainly know my share of smart, kinky people. *Waves to all of you*

"Big Hands," my contribution to Pleasure Bound: True Bondage Stories, is about spanking. It involves a cheese board, as well as big hands. I'll leave it up to my discerning readers to decide how true it is.

Boys of the Bite contains my very romantic gay Regency vampire tale, "The Love of a Faithful Servant." I had so much fun with it that I followed up with a lesbian vampire Regency tale, which will be coming out this fall in an anthology from Torquere.

I have a feeling I've forgotten a cover or two.

Oh yeah, this one, for Where the Girls Are. This contains a Sophie Mouette story, "On Display," and I'll be reading it in Los Angeles next Wednesday. OK, I'll be here in Massachusetts and phoning it in, but still, pretty cool. Details to come, in case you're in the LA area. My fabulous co-author Dayle will also be reading, only she'll be there in the flesh at In the Flesh LA.

I can't believe...

that I haven't updated in over a month.

Actually I can. This summer's been a bit hectic, but the kind of hectic that doesn't leave me with a lot of fascinating tales to report. The day job's been hellish. It's still part-time, but, horror of horrors, I've started caring, so it follows me home. I guess it's good to care, but I'd like to cut out the part where it follows me home.

The garden's been eating a lot of my time, which is only fair because we've been eating a lot from the garden. Next year, perhaps, I won't plant quite so many beans. :-) Who am I kidding? I'll plant just as many and we'll eat and enjoy them. I love gardening and cooking, so it's been a fun summer in that aspect, but I'd forgotten how much time a decent-sized garden takes. How did I do it when I had the quarter-acre plot in Burdett with the Boatbuilder? Oh, that's right--no day job and damn little social life!

And to be honest, I think I've been a bit depressed. Not for any good external reason, but various things indicate that it has a physical cause. Let's just say I enjoy being a girl, most of the time--but not always--and leave it at that, shall we?

To make up for my long silence, I'll follow up immediately with a post of covers and teases...
